Our story
From a learners' tutor to an agentic system for your institution
We started with the general public
Edugent began as an AI tutor for secondary school pupils and adult learners. The principles were set from day one: never give the direct answer, guide through questioning, full transparency for parents. The consumer product supported thousands of sessions a month.
Three things we learned in the field
First, the Socratic method works, but only if you are uncompromising on the “never the direct answer” rule. Second, users want an identified human behind the agent. Finally, on sensitive topics (distress, conflict, legal matters), the agent must know when to stay silent and raise an alert: it is written in the code.
